"new media" that doesn't currently exist. One new media application that should exist is an app which would be to scan and do a self checkout. As Philip Zimbardo said "Depending on whom you ask, time is money, time is love, time is work, time is play, time is enjoying friends, time is raising children, and time is much more. Time is what you make of it". Living in NYC especially we barely even have time to play, or spend time with our loved ones. To make things worse we spend a lot of waiting in lines. We can't always avoid purchasing items online. One way or the other we have to go to stored to purchase items such as groceries or clothes, just because we prefer to actually have that experience to go in person. Now, if there was an app that could do a self checkout by scanning items from our phone and purchasing it, we could save so much time. Waiting in lines for a cashier or the self checkouts they have in some stored like Target always have long li

Blog: Wiki So Far

As of right now, I have not added anything to Wiki so far. I have looked at few of the categories in the Wiki page and some have sparked my interest such as about Culture, I feel that there should be a topic about Culture and religion and how sometimes people take culture more serious than the other way around. I would also like to add some details in the category of religion. I would also like to talk about the environment and how it is changing due to the Covid-19, which is making people stay home. I will do more research about these topics to write about. and as I go more along the way, I will see if there is any other topic I would like to discuss about.

Blog: Advice

You are hired by Baruch College to use  new media  to improve the College. What are some suggestions you would make using new media? To improve the College by using new media, first we would need to get opinions from students such as surveys to see what they would like to see and read, to make it interested for users to actually use the platform. Some other points we can do is survey our audience to better understand their pain points, look closely at their demographics, engage in discussions in forums filled with our target audience, respond to comments on our site, and comment on other blogs with the same target audience We should react to all comments or questions on our social networking platforms. We can also collect feedback to see what we can add or not use in the future to keep it interesting for our audience. If we put out fun and informational things on the website many students, as well as professors will be interested in being an active user. This will help me learn many

Blog: Privacy

In this post, discuss how the issues of privacy and confidentiality are related to new media. Privacy Issues arise everyday from one person to another, if they are using new media. The three social media networks that are most widely used are Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. Such highly popular social networking sites are used for the gathering and exchange of information by the public, professionals and students. With one click personal information can be shared such as address, name, phone number, friends and relatives informations and many more for the spammers, hackers, and other online criminals to target someone. We may ask ourselves why are these scammers and hackers so interested in new media sites such as Facebook, and Twitter? well, spreading viruses, malware and scams is a far more efficient way than more conventional email spam. People prefer to trust their social media friends to get updates they receive. Without thinking twice, they are more likely to se

Creativity and New Media

In my opinion, I believe that new media as helped people to be creative and unique in their own way. Just from seeing or reading a persons message or video can tell us a lot about that specific person. Being creative has many benefits such as expressing our true self, promotes thinking, reduce stress and anxiety, gain many new skills and more. I have decided to to upload a video on youtube with the link below which talks about the food in my culture. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmQpru3SUHY&feature=youtu.be

HW Creativity

New media has created endless creativity for everyone. We might think only designers, artists, and photographers are the people who can bring creativity to something but when we think about it, it actually is everyone who uses all these different new media technologies.  According to acuitytraining.co.uk, "these new technologies helped make it  easier to bring creative minds and ideas closer and take those ideas further at the same time. This mixing of technology and creativity has brought innovative new ideas and avenues through which people can express themselves". There are many new medias that help you to be creative which are Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Youtube, photo/video editors, Virtual Realities, and many other programs.
