Privacy Issues arise everyday from one person to another, if they are using new media.The three social media networks that are most widely used are Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. Such highly popular social networking sites are used for the gathering and exchange of information by the public, professionals and students. With one click personal information can be shared such as address, name, phone number, friends and relatives informations and many more for the spammers, hackers, and other online criminals to target someone. We may ask ourselves why are these scammers and hackers so interested in new media sites such as Facebook, and Twitter? well, spreading viruses, malware and scams is a far more efficient way than more conventional email spam. People prefer to trust their social media friends to get updates they receive. Without thinking twice, they are more likely to select links which can later corrupt their computers. There is not much to do then to be alert for everything we click. We can also not fall and be the victim by making a strong password, Do not use social media on public devices and, if possible, be sure to log out afterwards. Disable access to geolocation data for your social media applications. And post personal information to a minimum.
